Aberdeen to Rapponghi, and a little boat

I love a boat! Any boat, any water source, you name it – I’ll Captain it!

Tonight we were dodging some serious rain storms, so by the time we reached our destination it looked like we had already had a dip in the sea.

Not that a gigantic rain storm was going to stop us!

Drenched, we made it to the Sumida River to begin our Yakatabune experience, everyone slipped into some very, very, VERY, schnexy sandals.

This awesome little speed demon was amazing inside I wish I had taken more pictures.

You take your shoes off and pop your little toosh on a wee pillow, or Tatami Mat for those that listened! and perch yourself around a little lowered table.

The lovely Mr Hostess gives you a quick low down on the plans for the evening then the fun commences.

The food gets going!

I wish I could tell you what all this food was, and it was only for starters – some was shamazan, some was an acquired taste.

All the Sashimi, Sushi, Tempura, Pickles and Japanese desert you could ever hope for!

IMG_6066The views were astonishing, my skills *Ahem* one too many Sake’s were slightly impaired and I wasn’t applying my usual level of concentration.

IMG_6056Anyway it was much more about the fun on the boat – as they say in Japan

Nailed It, for shawar!

We briefly braved the rain and climbed on to the top of  the boat to get some great views, but the rain had other ideas.  We climbed onto dry (ish) land and headed off to Rappongi for, where else but a bit of North Aberdeen in Japan…..

Sparkles and Pincers

Just a quick post

Nails… Love ‘Em!

IMG_5433I’ve read in the past that pruuuddie nails are one of women’s big attractions to the other species (or same, what ever takes your fancy!)

I’m a big fan of keeping my claws in tip top order purely for my own admiration,  I’ve invested in the WHOLE kit, lamps, gels, stamps… you name it I have it. Continue reading
